We seem to have developed a schedule. An exhausting schedule, but somewhat predictable. Griffin usually gets his last "nighttime" meal around 7am which since he was up and alert most of the night puts him out for about 2-3 hours. We repeat this every 2-3 hours throughout the day with Griffin mostly asleep after feeding. This is when Jaime and I try to get things done (after using the first 3 hour shift for sleep). Towards evening, 10pm and on, he switches to a more alert time and requires eating every 1.5 hours and more attention from the parents. He is beginning to tolerate his swing but still prefers to be held (specifically the position seen to the left--he seems to prefer his head in the crook of the arm). His pediatrician said as long as distance between feeds is over an hour and he is not vomiting we should feed him, so that is what we are doing. It is not "baby sign language" but he lets us know when he is hungry.
Oh yes, so he had his first doctors visit which he tolerated very well and he has put on the amount of weight expected. He is now 7lbs 3oz. His jaundice (yellow) is decreasing and we took him out for a walk yesterday (last picture). His frown is from the bright sun which is not very used to.
More pictures on Picasa, including a few of Pasadena in spring.
