Hospital Day 3

We may still be in the hospital tonight. Jaime is suffering from severe headaches when sitting up and standing, likely due to the epidural. This is obviously making breast feeding difficult (on top of the inherent pain of that process as well as the trauma of birth itself.) We are waiting to see if just more rehydration will improve the situation. But she is doing amazingly well and is in good spirits.

The first night in the hospital was very easy. The nurse kept coming into the room to wake up a soundly sleeping Griffin so that he would feed more regularly. He had some initial difficulty figuring out the process but now is doing better. He still doesn't seem to go for very long without saying, "Thanks, now time for a nap." Last night and today were a different story. He is a little harder to console. It is also frustrating that we don't know if he is hungry, pained, tired or cold. We are also trying to exclusively breast feed, so hopefully he will soon have an easier time getting a more bountiful meal.

A few new pictures from days 2 and 3. I will eventually get some video up here for the grandparents.
